Picture Perfect ~ Vivid Memories of Summer

Picture Perfect: Summer by the river

(Les gorges du Verdon)

[Photo taken France with my Nikon D5100 - Aug 2013]

Acheron - the river of woe
Cocytus - the river of lamentation
Phlegethon - the river of fire
Lethe - the river of forgetfulness
Styx - the river of hate

But Dante forgot to mention
Verdon - the green river of wonder

Two steps
And I will enter
The gate

(Back To The Old House)

This is the house
Where my grandparents lived
I spent many summers
Of my childhood there

Memories: Time doesn't do its duty
And sometimes makes things worse

Creative Challenge - Summer

(Love Street)

That night I touched the warm stones
Of the buildings along via dell'Amore
Still soaked by the hot sun of the day

Summer always gives new nuance of scents
